Kathmandu Ranked as Most Polluted City in the World

Kathmandu- Due to cold, wind and industrial pollution, the sky of Kathmandu valley remained cloudy all day on Sunday. The sky of the valley has become polluted due to the smoke coming out from the wildfires, the dust particles flying with the wind and the pollution of the city. On Sunday, the sky was yellow due to polluted air.
According to air pollution meter IQ Air, on Sunday, Kathmandu was measured as the most polluted city among 121 cities in the world.
In the list of polluted cities, Thailand’s Chiang Mai is second, Bangladesh’s Dhaka is third, Cambodia’s Phnom Penh is fourth and Vietnam’s Hanoi is fifth.
On Sunday, the air quality index (AQI) of Kathmandu Valley reached 184. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), going above 150 is harmful to health.
